It is no surprise that Florida is among the top five, if not the top, most popular states for Americans to retire to. Smart Asset found that in 2018, Florida had a net migration of 84,663 retirees. This brought Florida’s Medicare-aged population to more than 19% of the state’s total population.
With more and more seniors choosing Florida as their home in their golden years, the competition for retirement communities is at an all-time high. We found that these six amazing communities for Florida residents beat out the other competition.
