Danielle is a former president of the Fort Worth chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters. As a Medicare Supplement Accredited Advisor, she knows a great deal about issues currently affecting Medicare.
A regular contributor to several industry publications, she has written extensively about Medicare and Medigap plans. She regularly appears as a guest expert on healthcare podcasts and radio shows. Many of her articles and interviews teach new beneficiaries about Medicare. She also enjoys discussing recent healthcare legislation and its long-term impact on the future of Medicare.
You can find her published work online at our blog and in industry magazines like Benefits Pro and the TAHU Magazine. She speaks frequently to employer and community groups about Medicare-related insurance topics. Licensed Instructor for Agent Medicare Certification
In addition to teaching Medicare to new beneficiaries, Danielle is also a continuing education instructor in Texas. She teaches an 8-hour Medicare-Related Products Certification course for insurance agents who wish to enter the Medicare insurance sector.
This certification is required by the Texas Department of Insurance for all insurance agents who wish to sell Medicare-related insurance. It dives deeply into the basic benefits provided to Medicare beneficiaries. It also prepares agents to answer common Medicare questions. As a CE instructor, Danielle has taught this course to hundreds of agent students over the last decade.
At Boomer Benefits, which is a Medicare insurance broker, Danielle coaches a team of 30 full-time licensed agents. All of them are experts who help people learn about and navigate Medicare every day. Her team assists Medicare beneficiaries daily in 47 states. Frequent training and legislative updates from Danielle help this team to solve common problems with Medicare for our valued clients.
Danielle’s Approach to Client Service
Her agency employs a full-time Client Service Team to assist its thousands of policyholders, free of charge. This team helps clients with everything that happens after the purchase of a Medicare supplemental insurance product.
They can resolve simple issues like reordering lost ID cards. However, they also frequently resolve major issues such as unpaid claims or doctor office billing codes that are incorrect. Her team offers beneficiaries personalized service. The Client Service Team saves them the time and effort of chasing down answers at huge call centers run by insurance companies.
Here’s why Danielle believes a Client Service Team is so important:
“People on Medicare don’t want to call a 1-800 number at a huge insurance company to find out why their application was denied or why their claim wasn’t paid. They don’t want to chase down billing reps at doctor’s offices or hospitals either when it’s necessary for them to resubmit a claim. They want to simply call their insurance agency to handle it. Medicare beneficiaries want to reach a real person who cares about their problem and has experience in dealing with this type of problem, and have that person walk them through resolution of that problem from start to finish. And that’s what we give them.”
